The Popronde went out with a bang this weekend! After what was supposed to be the last show @ Dynamo Eindhoven (photos here), our friends from The Mad Trist convinced us to join them for a guerilla gig @ de Effenaar @ 03:30. Avant La Lettre & The Mad Trist on stage, together. Ofcourse way to wasted to play, but not to party. And a party it was.

And now…into the studio for two straight weeks. Yeah!

Club Interbellum & Avant La Lettre come full circle. We played our 1st gig ever @ the 1st Club Interbellum @ de Balie 2 years ago. Now we play the last Club Interbellum to be held @ de Balie.

Laurens and Alexandra (of Saelors) will also be performing a song they wrote especially for the occasion.

Barrett Strong recorded this in 1959 for motown records, it got to number 2 on the R&B charts and 23rd on the US Pop charts making it Motown’s first hit. Barrett Strong later went on to become one of Motown’s most famous song writers.
