Last fall Muziek Centrum Nederland asked us to participate in their Unsigned project. This project is meant to bring talented, but unsigned bands to the fore. Two of our songs would be (re)recorded to be featured on an Unsigned album, to which 5 other bands would contribute. The record would be recorded by JB Meijers and Dennis van Leeuwen.
It sounded like an interesting experiment and oppurtunity. Pausing our own album recordings, we decided to have a go at it with “No Procedure That Fits”, and see what the touch of these two veterans would do with the song. The result is an uptempo steroid version of this favourite. For the second track we decided to write a entirely new song, exclusively for this project. This resulted in the dreamy ”Porcelain”. The presentation of the Unsigned CD will be on May 12th in Trouw, Amsterdam, where all the participating bands (including Saelors) will play a 20 minute showcase.
