It’s been hard to miss, but i’m telling you anyway. Gorillaz are dropping their new album, entitled Plastic Beach, on March 8th. Anticipation has been rising here, as we’ve been bombarded with previews, teasers and remixes. You can find them all on their site. But let me just share some stuff with you, that’s really getting me psyched.

First off, the first single, Stylo, sounds pretty nice the first few times you here it. You can listen to it on www.gorillaz.com or on youtube. The last album got better everytime i listened to it. And i’ve really enjoyed rediscovering it several times in the past few years, picking new favorite tracks every time around. I expect no different from the new material.

But of course, an essential part of the Gorillaz experience is the visual part: the graphics and video. Check out the Gorillaz youtube channel for countless Plastic Beach teaser displaying some stunning artwork. Here’s a little preview of the video for Stylo:

There has also been a barrage of remixes of Stylo circulating. Not all good though. I was really impressed with the Labrinth SNES Remix of Stylo ft. Tinie Tempah. Some next level remixing. Check it out:

And ofcourse there is Murdoc, the notorious bad guy bass player of the band. He’s really been coming to life. Keeping his own twitter @murdocgorillaz, seperate from the official @GorillazBand twitter, spreading the latest rumors. And now even hosting his own pirate radio show.
